Abstract: This report describes the September 11 Victim Compensation Fund of 2001, a federal program to compensate victims of the September 11 attacks. The final two sections of this report concern matters that occurred after enactment of the Fund. The first of these discusses the interaction of the USA PATRIOT ACT of 2001, Public Law 107-56, with the September 11 Victims Compensation Fund of 2001. The second is a summary of the Department of Justice's request for comments in connection with the regulations it will issue to implement the Fund.
