Abstract: This report is a summary of a comparative study on international science and technology, prepared at the request of the Committee on Science of the House of Represents. It provides a digest of analysis and findings on the science and technology policies, civilian research and development funding, and relevant policy issues of 13 countries and the European Union. It also provides a description of why these findings and issues may be of interest to U.S. policymakers, as well as an analysis of issues and concerns about U.S. data collection and information.
