Abstract: In the wake of the 1994-1995 Mexican financial crisis, the major industrial countries proposed the "New Arrangements to Borrow" (NAB). The NAB are an arrangement of medium-term credit lines that would provide additional funds to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the event of an international financial crisis. The U.S. share of $3.4 billion is under consideration by the 105th Congress.
