Abstract: This report tracks current appropriations and related legislation for Title I of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 (WIA) (P.L. 105-220). Following a brief summary of each WIA program, the report presents the status of legislative proposals contained in the Administration's FY2008 budget request and compares WIA funding in the FY2007 appropriation, the FY2008 budget request, and FY2008 House and Senate committee and floor actions.
