Abstract: On March 17, 2006, the House passed a $91.95 billion supplemental appropriation measure (H.R. 4939; H.Rept. 109-388), $270 million less than requested by the Administration. On May 4, the Senate approved its version totaling $108.9 billion, $16.8 billion more than the request. Congress cleared on June 15 for the President's signature a $94.5 billion supplemental package, $2.3 billion above the request.
