Abstract: This report provides the reauthorization history of these programs, tracks relevant legislative activity in the 109th Congress, and includes a brief discussion of the creation, operation and funding history of each of the Victims of Child Abuse Act programs. It concludes with a capsule look at some additional provisions that seek primarily to improve the investigation and court handling of child abuse and neglect cases.
