Elaine Halchin, Government and Finance Division Abstract: This report compares current anti-doping policies for performance enhancing substances among the Olympic movement and six professional sports leagues. Details associated with the policies of the Olympics, Major League Baseball, the NFL, and the National Basketball Association (NBA) policies are presented in Table 1. Table 2 includes the same details about the policies of Major League Soccer (MLS), the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA), and the National Hockey League (NHL). The report also presents elements of what have been identified as model anti-doping policies and (in the appendix) provides a comparison of Major League Baseball's former and current anti-doping policies (Table 3) and a glossary of related terms.
