Abstract: This report provides information and analysis of the major trade bills considered by the 108th Congress in three parts. The first section provides an overview of major trade legislation acted on in the 108th Congress, including some issues that may be carried over or taken up in 2005. The second section (Appendix A) provides in tabular form a more detailed breakdown of the majority of trade bills introduced and acted on in the 108th Congress. A list of congressional trade-related hearings is provided in Appendix B. This section illustrates another dimension of congressional interest in trade issues and the numerous committees that play a role in oversight.
