Abstract: The term dual eligibles refers to individuals who qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid. Legislation which would add a prescription drug benefit to Medicare has passed the Senate and House (S. 1 and H.R. 1). Due to this recent congressional activity, this report focuses on Medicaid prescription drugs pending for dual eligibles.
