Abstract: This report examines a subset of the environmental issues associated with the Administration's policy outline. It focuses specifically on the environmental permitting and regulatory policies presented in the National Energy Policy Development report that deal with streamlining of regulations; possible impacts on air quality, climate change, and water quality; and pollution issues potentially associated with oil and gas exploration in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR).
