Title: The Issue of Globalization-An Overview

Abstract: This report provides an overview of globalization, including a sampling of definitions. Although emphasis is placed on economic globalization and its impacts, attention is also paid to linking the relevance of the term to policymaking as a whole. In particular, the special role government plays in allowing or prohibiting globalization's spread within a country is discussed. The possibility of unintended consequences also is considered.
