They have said the United States is not contemplating sending additional U.S. troops to bolster the KFOR mission, but that it is considering other forms of assistance to Macedonia. President Bush expressed strong support for the efforts of the Macedonian government to uphold democracy in its country and pledged to assist the Macedonian government in countering the violence.
