Abstract: This report reviews the statutory changes that the Dietary Supplements Health and Education Act of 1994 contained and the status and impact of their implementation by the federal agencies responsible, particularly the Food and Drug Administration. Numerous bills addressing dietary supplement regulation have been introduced in the 107th Congress, although no further action has yet been taken on them.
