Number: RL30558 Title: SOCIAL SECURITY: A DISCUSSION OF SOME ISSUES AFFECTING THE EARLY RETIREMENT AGE Authors: Geoffrey Kollmann, Domestic Social Policy Division Abstract: There are many proposals to raise the Social Security's "early retirement age," the minimum age at which one is eligible to retire.
