Abstract: This report describes the several categories of entities (e.g. government-sponsored enterprises; venture capital funds) that together comprise what has been called the "quasi government." The entities, while not being agencies of the United States, possess legal characteristics of both the governmental and private sectors. The implications of the growth in the quasi government are reviewed and analyzed.
