Abstract: The United States is negotiating with Ministers from the other developed economies on a Multilateral Agreement on Investment. U.S. negotiators are dissatisfied with the current draft of the agreement and oppose setting new deadlines for completing the long and divisive negotiations. Should the Ministers resolve the myriad outstanding issues, the measure will be forwarded to the Senate for consideration as a treaty.
